Let's just say it was a disaster from the start. The biggest mistake I did was look at a model and agree to rent an apartment without seeing the actual space I was going to rent (crazy I know) First day I moved in I arrived to duct tape and plastic bags on the shower heads of both bathrooms, no shower rods connected to the shower, and a nasty disgusting carpet that was stained throughout the apartment, cabinets throughout the bathroom and kitchen with chipped wood, and no working vents in both bathrooms. I had brought all this to the attention of the maintence supervisor, with an immediate request to replace the carpet. He had replied that it was a new carpet that was seven months old, and that to just make sure I put it on the new move in inventory list, so that I did not get charged for it when I move out. I told him absolutly NOT, that I wanted them to clean it, he stated at that time he would clean the carpet. After one day of being in this apartment I noticed there was a awful musty smell coming from the carpet, I again brought this to the attention of the maintence supervior and the property manager, who again said they would take care of it. After three days of a disgusting, nasty smelling carpet, ( by this time the smell was so overwhelming, that not only was I nauseas, but my little dog too, who couldn't eat)I had demanded that the office do something about it, they had said that the would have the carpet people come clean iT (which by the way took two weeks to clean, and still had the smell when the carpet people left) After the second week, I threatened to move out if they did not change the carpet, they refused until they once more called in the carpet people to inspect the carpet for microorganisms embedded into the carpet...that was a friday of week two, which meant I had to wait until monday of the next week for somone to come in to inspect the carpet...By this time I must have spent over $50 dollars in candles and carpet fresheners... By Monday the carpet guy did not come, for some reason or another, but tuesday he did and deemed the carpet unsanitary, and recommended that the complex change the carpet. You would think that would be enough for them to change the carpet, but no, the property manager had to get authorization from the equity corporate office... Really? so, not until that friday of the third week going into a month of me renting here did they finally replace the carpet. So now that they have tricked me into staying after the first 30 days of the start of my lease (which You can Break by the way, and recieve a FULL refund, if you are not 100% satisfied, this they do not tell you, instead they try to get you to stay until after the first 30 days are up so you can pay a month and a half rent to break the lease) So now 33 days into the start of my lease I realize I'm not living alone, now I see ROACHES!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!! Never have I ever expierenced such a disgusting place, DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!! I'm Sooooo out of here!!!!!!!
